Membership Cancellation Policy align with software

Having the system allow members to cancel at any time is not in alignment with may spaces who have a 30 or 60 day cancellation policy. And for us smaller spaces if you can't even plan one month out it is just too hard. So I don't like that the system allows members to do that.

This has bubbled up as an issue within our space more than once. When a member signs up or upgrades, they are asked to tick a box agreeing to "(the space's) Terms of Service and Membership Cancellation Policy” Which for us is 14 days notice. However, when the same member clicks over to cancel their membership, they are assured in bold text that they "will not be billed for this membership again.” For me, the issue is not so much that I need the software to automatically enforce the cancelation policy (though that is ideal). The issue is that the two messages pointed out above are very conflicting. Maybe we can have the “you will not be charged again” message removed from the cancelation page?

I agree with this - we've had issues where a member has committed to pay for a certain period of time, and they leave early and take their credit card info out of the system, and then they are breaking our policy and we are losing money. At least letting them not cancel randomly would be one step forward in dealing with this issue.

please. this is was the number one reason I was reluctant to switch to the Proximity software. We've missed some revenue due to members not knowing what they are doing in the membership section

Hi all! Just wanted to follow up with everyone on this. We do now offer a beta contract feature that will not allow members to cancel or remove their payment source before their contract is up. If you want to turn this on for your space, please feel free to reach out to Support. We have also added a setting in the General settings that will make it so that members cannot cancel on their own. -Emma
