I agree with you. You could just add a radio button that makes the event public or private. I offer "after hours" events and it would be great if the customer could decide whether they want it public or private. This would save me the time of having to create their "after hours" event again in the Event section of the dashboard.

Not all events are public. I'd love for the ability to be able to set private events somehow. There are several ways of doing this... You could password protect the event, which would prohibit anyone without the password to be able to register. You could also only allow certain membership levels to register.. like you do for "member benefits" I think there's probably good use cases for both scenarios
